Life is about the journey, learning, growing, changing to our life’s circumstances. We have all asked those big questions, “why are we here, what is the meaning of life”. The quest to find these answers begins deep within, looking inward, how we view ourselves, and how we are conditioned into a way of thinking and believing by our family of origin. As I began to travel the road of self-discovering and knowing myself I began to feel the power of a spiritual connection to myself, the earth and all that surrounded me. That balance of peace that comes with being still, quiet and mindful.
The importance of embracing life, learning and growing through connections with others, ourselves, and the higher-being. I came to realize that we do not just arrive one day and then we are healed from our pain, or we find our purpose and meaning, or acceptance. It is hard work, it hurts, the pain is real, but as we slowly begin to dissect what has brought us to this time and place in our life, it is worth the deep dive to uncover our truth.
Why come along with me? I am a practitioner who is learning about my life, how to change the hues on the canvas. The canvas can not be discarded, adopting new brush strokes, new palette choices and enhancing the landscape. My life has taught me a lot, I have much to be grateful for and I know there is more to uncover and experience that will over-flow my cup and bring joy to my life and those around me and I desperately want people to experience an abundant life of self-acceptance and purpose.
I have worked as a CEO for 25+ years in the nonprofit sector, now retired, I am wanting to help others on their journey to self-acceptance and self-love. I am a practitioner of mindfulness-based teachings and interventions and a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) facilitator, and I am a Reiki Master, Certified Yoga Instructor and embrace the Indian science of life through an Ayurveda lens. I am married over 35 years to a man who virtually saved me from self-destruction and who unwittily put me on this path of self-discovery. We have 2 beautiful adult daughters and 2 gorgeous grandsons. I have worked hard to be at a place in my life that I feel a sense of peace and contentment. I want to walk with you on your journey, let’s begin…
